for claims to Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal (NCAT) or Court
DHBA (David Hall Building Appraisals) provides building expert reports as part of the litigation support for matters which are before the Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal (NCAT) or the Court.  The reports that are completed cover building defects which can be claimed against a building contractor.  These defects are many and varied and can include sub-standard work, dampness, termite damage, excessive deflections and cracking within a building, leaking showers, as well as cracks to buildings.  We also support a building contractor where an unreasonable building claim is lodged against that person.

All defects must be substantiated using the Building Code of Australia, as well as various Australian Standards which cover the construction of buildings.

The NCAT and Court require reports to be completed in a detailed format so that the actual defect can be substantiated or assessed.  The claims before the Court or NCAT can be either a single item or multiple defects.

DHBA has 25 years experience in completing detailed reports.  Apart from an extensive library of the Building Code of Australia and various Australian Standards, other product documents can also be referenced.

The building experts at David Hall Building Appraisals attend regular seminars conducted either through the Master Builders Association, Housing Industry Association and the Australian Society of Building Consultants where highly qualified experts in specialists fields provide updated information so that the consultants remain informed of current trends and issues that arising in specialists fields.
