David Hall Building Appraisals was founded in 1988 and our complete inspection service is available throughout the Sydney metropolitan area, Lower Blue Mountains and Campbelltown area.
We also cover the central coast, Upper Blue Mountains and Wollongong, however these areas do incur a travelling charge.

We measure the overall building/unit size as this facilitates conveyancing and insurance replacement estimates.
Unit inspections include both the inside and all external common areas. Additionally, we list areas where Body Corporate may impose levies for major works or upgrading.

Litigation support is available to solicitors as well as clients involved in dispute matters before the Court or CTTT (Fair Trading). A wide range of areas of building problems are within our expertise, including sub-standard pre-purchase building inspections and/or sub-standard building works that do not meet the required standard. We complete reports to the required standard of the Court as well as CTTT, including Scott Schedules, and abide by the Expert Code of Conduct. We offer impartial advice and attempt to resolve issues where possible. All reports are backed by the relevant standard or accepted building tolerances.

pest inspections are essential

A house, building or surrounding landscaping can be affected by any one of several wood destroying pests. Of particular concern are termites (commonly called white ants) which can render a house structurally unsound, sometimes in as little as two years. Repairs can be expensive, as they are not covered by household insurance.

A pest report locates any current activity and provides a cost estimate for treatment. Termite damage is also noted. Each pest report comes with easy-to-read information sheets about the damage particular pests cause, and the treatments if required.

We strongly recommend that you have 6-monthly inspections to reduce the risk of future infestation and damage to your investment.
